It was a challenge to deal with my weaknesses. Putting your own thoughts and emotions into words was a struggle, but with each coaching session, I became more used to practicing, and repeated this over and over again.
This time makes me focus on what drives me so that I can live my own life. I gain an awareness of “What does ‘the real me’ want or value?” It’s easy to get into the mood for coaching, because I find it so uplifting in a positive sense. You feel relaxed in a supportive environment, so it’s easy to talk frankly about yourself.
An experience which makes you think about what would be best for you. I think having the coach there means you really start to believe in yourself. In life if you don’t act, you’ll never get anywhere, but having the coach with me gives me courage.
It was a serious session although I could not help smiling. It really laid my worries to rest and helped me improve my performance. It is an investment which gives you a return well above the fee you pay.
It was an experience which gave me a high level view of where I was at in my life.
Together with the coach we unravelled what had gone on in my life beforehand. Letting go of what I didn’t need, I felt we were really taking the steps needed to support me in my life from here on. I feel confident, with conviction in my current life, thanks to the coaching I received.
A time which I find very stimulating. Each question gives me something different to hold onto, so I feel like I am rock climbing to the top. For my part, the coaching gives me something to steady myself in my life; it is the catalyst for clearing a path to improving it.
I had coaching for a number of months. I brought about significant change in my life as a result of the time I spent. I had a session every two weeks. The time prepares me for ongoing change in my circumstances.
I can be completely detached when I am with the coach. No reservations, hesitation or disappointments. It was time spent having a serious and thorough look at myself, with no rush.
Just like a laboratory. It was a place where we did experiments to discover more about ourselves. The coach and the client are on equal terms. I thought “Wow, this coach is really stimulating!”
An experience which gave me a positive affirmation of myself and my life (as I had expected).
“A journey in search of my identity”. I was drifting aimlessly. I came to a standstill one day and then started a journey to find what it was I really wanted to do. It was as if “my eyes were opened” by this experience.
You understand your own worth - it gives you guidance and empowers you. It guides you when you have lost the way.
Because I am with the coach, I can reflect deeply on my life. I get an overview of myself and my situation. What are you making me do?! A challenge and a breakthrough - my heart pounds!
I put my vague thoughts into words, and was able to clarify what I really wanted to do. I was no longer confused by my thoughts; I was able to use this as an opportunity to put what I learned into practice. I am now able to think about things in a much more positive way than before.
First of all, the coaching style is for you to learn through being challenged. Although I had fears and anxieties at first, it has become easier for me to take action to deal with these. Secondly, I gained an awareness of issues such as “What are my strengths? What do I need to do to develop as a person?”
This was my first experience of using a life coach. When I felt unable to move forward, I remembered what I had learned about myself and what I had gained from coaching. That way I was able to get my bearings and move on.
For me coaching was not just about focusing on my issues with leadership and setting up a company, but also about using it as a reference point for advice.
I now choose what I want to do, rather than just what I am able to do. My life was changed significantly by the time I spent with the coach. I left the company I worked at, and started a new life on my own as a coach myself.
When you are given instructions, even if you achieve your aims, you and the other participants feel worn out and exhausted. Here the coaching style is different. It develops participants’ ambitions and abilities. There was wholesale improvement in my relationship with other people. My life felt fulfilled and enjoyable, compared to when I wasn’t having coaching.
Changing current perceptions, and as a result, changing the way I behave, and the results I achieve.
He showed me what I did not really want to see or disclose about myself at first. I suddenly realized that I was cleansed by the whole experience! This is how I felt. As a result, I am able to commit to living my own life, making my own key decisions and finding happiness for myself the way I am now.
At a time when I wanted to change my life, I decided I needed a sharp change of direction. My relationship with my colleagues changed dramatically and I quickly resigned from the company. I felt very clear in my mind and I began going down the road to independence.
My circumstances have changed significantly. When my job is not going so well, I tend to think and act calmly and in a positive manner, and I can enjoy the experience.
I realized that the values and purpose in life which I had thought important up till then, were no longer enough for me. Right now, I am in the middle of re-inventing myself as a completely different person!
“My mind enjoyed the buzz”. “You get a high level view of things (positive meaning).” I was frightened at first, but then I really got to enjoy it. I think Hashi has shown me that he deals with his own challenges in life the way he tells us to.
I looked at and came to realize that no matter how hard the external situation, the qualities and strengths I have developed can’t be taken away by anyone. In addition, I learned that you can still move forward, even if you don’t always follow through completely on what you need to do.
I came to realize the extent to which my pre-conceptions influenced my behaviour. Hashi likes having fun. Whatever preconceptions you have, you’ll leave them behind in one go, smiling as you do so! Thanks to him, I ended up as a fully-fledged comedian... (laughs)
I have achieved total trust in myself. I left the company I had worked at for a long time. With an opportunity to oversee a business start-up, the coaching gave me a head-start.
I spent less time absorbed in complex situations, while the time I spent doing something positive increased. As a result, I now have the life I wanted to, and I have come to believe in myself.
